JetBlue TrueBlue is the mileage and frequent flyer program of US airline JetBlue. As JetBlue is not a member of any of the three main airline alliances, the loyalty program does not have the same widespread or international appeal as that of other major airlines. But for JetBlue's frequent flyers, it is the obvious choice to earn and spend points. Earning points is, of course, possible on JetBlue flights - and also with several partner airlines and other sources.
Earning points from JetBlue flights
Points are earned on all JetBlue marketed and operated flights based on the ticket price (a so-called revenue-based earning method). Many airlines (including all the major US legacy airlines) have now switched to this method, instead of the old method of awarding points based on the flight distance and booking class.

Points earning is very straightforward with JetBlue TrueBlue. You earn one point per dollar spent on the lowest Blue Basic fares and three points per dollar on all other fares (including Blue, Blue Plus. Blue Extra, and Mint).

There are also several bonuses to add to this base earning:
- Book direct with JetBlue (on the website or through the call center, but not using an agent or booking website): An additional one point per dollar for Blue Basic and three points per dollar for other fares.
- Holding JetBlue TrueBlue Mosaic elite status: Additional three points per dollar.
- Using a JetBlue credit card: Additional three to six points per dollar.
- Booking an "Even More Space" seat: 200 points per seat.
- Traveling with a pet: 300 points per flight.
With all these bonuses, earnings can be very good. Frequent flyers who hold JetBlue TrueBlue Mosaic elite status, book direct, and use a JetBlue credit card can earn up to 15 points per dollar spent.

TrueBlue used to offer additional bonuses for frequent and consistent JetBlue travel (including the Take 3, Lucky 7, and Go Long bonuses). They were withdrawn at the end of 2022 and replaced with additional bonuses linked to Mosaic elite status earning.
Earning points from partner flights
JetBlue is not a member of any of the three main airline alliances. However, TrueBlue has partnerships with a number of other airlines, allowing points to be earned on flights (this is different for spending points). Note that the previous earning partnership with American Airlines has ended. These airlines are:
- Hawaiian Airlines
- JSX
- Icelandair
- Qatar Airways
- Silver Airways
- Singapore Airlines
- South African Airways

The points earned for each partner are different – but none of them are revenue-based like JetBlue flights.
- With Silver Airways, you earn a fixed number of points per flight (250 points). With the other airlines, points are earned based on the booking class and distance of the flight.
- JetBlue TrueBlue publishes tables of the percentages for each partner. These percentages range from 25% for lowest economy fares up to 150% for some business and first class fares. Note that some of the lowest booking classes may not be eligible for any points (this will be shown in the tables).
- You can see all these tables on the JetBlue TrueBlue website. The examples below are for Hawaiian Airlines (Hawaii to North America flights) and Qatar Airways.

Earning points through credit card spending
Earning miles and points with co-branded credit cards has become popular with many airline loyalty schemes in recent years. JetBlue TrueBlue offers two personal cards in partnership with Barclaycard – the JetBlue Card and the JetBlue Plus Card. These are available in the US. In addition, there are MasterCard options available for Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico residents.
The JetBlue Card is a free card (no annual fee) and offers the following point earning:
- Three points per dollar on all JetBlue flights.
- Two points per dollar at US restaurants and grocery stores.
- One point per dollar for all other spending.
The JetBlue Plus Card has an annual fee of $99 with the following point earning:
- Six points per dollar on all JetBlue flights.
- Two points per dollar at US restaurants and grocery stores.
- One point per dollar for all other spending.
In addition, both cards offer a signup bonus for new cardholders. This can vary with promotions but is often 10,000 points for the JetBlue Card and up to 50,000 points for the JetBlue Plus Card (after meeting minimum spending targets).

Other ways to earn points
Although flying and credit card spending are the main way for most people to earn TrueBlue points, there are other options for picking up points:
Earn at US restaurants. JetBlue TrueBlue has a dining program known as TrueBlue Dining. This allows you to earn points when eating at participating restaurants and registering your credit card in advance.
Earn through shopping. JetBlue TrueBlue offers points earning in partnership with many retailers through its TrueBlue Shopping portal. This includes online and in-store shopping (where you register a card in advance). Rates vary significantly and can be as high as 80 or 100 points per dollar.

Earn through hotel bookings and car rentals. You can earn points with several hotel chains and car rental companies by booking through the Paisley platform. You can also earn points with direct bookings with IHG hotels (one point per dollar at Candlewood Suites and Staybridge Suites, and two points per dollar at other brands).
