How to Get Fertilizer in Fallout 76
In Fallout 76, you get Fertilizer through the following four methods:
- Get Fertilizer by building a Fertilizer Producer in your C.A.M.P.
- Get Fertilizer by building a Chicken Coop in your C.A.M.P.
- Get Fertilizer by building extractors in Workshops or your C.A.M.P.
- Get Fertilizer by collecting and scrapping items that produce Fertilizer.
Build a Fertilizer Producer in Your C.A.M.P.
Building a Fertilizer Producer in your C.A.M.P. will produce Fertilizer. The Fertilizer Producer has a maximum storage capacity of 5 units.
To build a Fertilizer Producer, you’ll need Plan: Brahmin Pen. You have the chance to get the plan through one of the following ways:
- Plan: Brahmin Pen has a chance to be contained in Toolbox, Large Toolbox, Tool Case, and Tool Chest Containers.
- Plan: Brahmin Pen has a chance to be a reward from Treasure Maps in Fallout 76.
- Plan: Brahmin Pen has a chance to be a world spawn in any of the Appalachian regions.
- Plan: Brahmin Pen has a chance to be a reward from “Claim Workshop” quests, “Defend Workshop” events, or “Retake Workshop” events.
- Plan: Brahmin Pen has a chance to be a reward from Daily Ops (when your character is level 50 or higher).
- Plan: Brahmin Pen has a chance to be sold by one of the following vendors:
- Free States Vendor in The Whitespring Resort.
- Shopping Mall Vendor in The Whitespring Resort
- Grahm
- Vendor Bot Wallace at Berkeley Springs Station

Build a Chicken Coop in Your C.A.M.P.
Building a Chicken Coop in your C.A.M.P. or workshop will produce up to 33 Raw Fertilizer per hour.

If you build your C.A.M.P. close to a Phosphate Deposit or you take a workshop with a Phosphate Deposit nearby, you can build a Fertilizer Extractor. This will net you 15 Raw Fertilizer over 27 minutes per deposit.

- You find 5 Bags of Fertilizer in the barn near the bus stop at Tanagra Town.
- You find 5 Bags of Fertilizer in the greenhouses at Vault-Tec Agricultural Research Center.

Tip: Items respawn after you have collected 250 more items after picking them up. If you want to run the farm route again, you must first collect various other items to trigger the reset.
