I'm apparently not enough of a Blight player to have seen that he actually has TWO massive bugs. Aside from just walking through pallets as mentioned above, which requires a little bit of positioning and timing, when he uses his power to break pallets, he's supposed to have about a .5 second swing before it breaks and goes into cooldown. Right now, that's just flat out not happening. No swing at all. Pallet explodes and he either goes into CD or... doesn't. Not just that, but he's able to move (at reduced speed) during it, when he couldn't before.
So the strongest/second strongest killer actually has multiple massive bugs right now making him even more ridiculously oppressive, and yet for some reason, isn't killswitched. This shit is so disspiriting.

More bugs:
I had the Eye in my hand, but didn't want to install it just yet, in case someone else would need it to help against tunneling or something. I picked up another magic item, and the Eye bugged out. Still showed as being in my hand, but I couldn't install it or drop it or anything.
When an item gets "deleted" due to Franklins, it becomes a permanent aura beacon for Weave Attunement, so that combo is even more busted than I realized.

Weave Attunement has the crippling issue that if it ever becomes meta, Object of Obsession gives you permanent aura reading on the killer on the level of old Object.
But that's a horrific way of hoping that things get balanced.

Main building on Azarov's Resting Place is elevated enough from the surroundings that it's a free hit for Vecna ghosts if you are inside and the lich is outside, that's some bull shit right there.

The details of the anniversary event came out at some point:
Cakes: Normal BP stuff, extend aura reval of nearby anniversary pillars from 8m to 16m, +1 chest in trial.
All anniversary stuff is disabled during EGC.
Anniversary skills: Same as last year. Channel a pillar to gain 1, or 20 seconds in chase to gain 1. Max 2 can be held.
Survivors can:
Block a vault for 4 seconds
Spawn a fragile pallet
Suppress all noise/blood pools for 15 secondsKillers can:
Instant hook a downed survivor
Destroy a dropped pallet
Enduring for 8 secondsIt looks like the bloodlust -> exposed killer power is gone.
Tryks: At start of match, every time a gen is finished, or the first time a survivor is hooked, a 'Tryk' occurs which will be one of:
Nothing
All players get +1 Anniversary Skill token.
All players get -1 Anniversary Skill token.
All dull totems become party totems. Channeling a party totem gives BP, 30% haste for 5 seconds, reveals aura to opposing side for 5 seconds.
Convert all closed chests to party chests. Opening a party chest gives an anniversary item. After 60 seconds, all chests open with confetti. Killers within 8m, are stunned. Survivors within 8m scream and are hindered by 25% for 4 seconds.
All player auras are revealed for 8 seconds.
All survivors gain a health state (mended if in deep wounds), but are Exposed for 30 seconds.
Killer TR removed and scratch marks disappear for 30 seconds.---
Stealth killers especially seem like they're going to have a field day. Saves are essentially disabled too, so even less protection for people being tunneled. Maybe at least people will stick to gens harder though.

The bloodlust -> exposed ability from last year led to really dumb gameplay, where it was "correct" as a survivor to just stop running so they'd be forced to hit you rather than get insta downed, so I'm glad that's going away. Remote hook is pretty strong, in addition to turning off DS and the newly buffed sabotage, it also makes party pallets mostly useless. The good news if they're saving up for remote hooks, they aren't getting free Enduring or free pallet breaks.
Since party pallets are bad, this means survivors mostly don't get a power this time around. Guess it's time to practice greeding party pallets.

Good time to run Smash Hit, I guess. Can't even do the goofy Power Struggle thing with Plot Twist anymore either because of that power. Hopefully it at least works like Pyramid Head and teleports you to a distant hook and won't activate Pain Res/Pop/etc. Last year was super killer sided too, especially if they were running Hubris/Enduring. Which, sure, better than 4 slowdowns, but not exactly much counterplay there either. Pre-drop and it gets auto shredded and zoned for that Knight gameplay everybody loves, or get the stun, THEN it gets shredded and zoned, and now you're exposed.
E: New codes for some BP and the tiniest amount of iri shards respectively
100KSLAY - BP
INTERSECTIONALIYAY - BP
PROUDSUSIE - shards
PROUDDAVID - shardsOh, and a metric assload of new pride stuff, but that's permanent I think. And probably needs a better way than one by one implementing what's up to like 50 codes now.

So apparently Chucky's power starts to recover as soon as he starts Slice and Dice right now instead of when he finishes it, so if he chains a couple scampers, he gets it back essentially immediately. And even just in normal use, that cuts off like 4-5 seconds every time. Which is a bit of a fucking buff.
We know about this because BHVR pushed out a 'bugfix' patch, fixing none of the Decisive Strike nor Blight bugs, but did call this one out... that they weren't fixing yet, but are temporarily nerfing some add-ons instead, to make sure this bug doesn't get TOO out of hand.
You know, a normal, standard process.

Anniversary is live.
And also, the way that the remote hook works is that you need to pick them up first and be within it looks like 8m of a hook, though it's just the closest hook, regardless of if you're looking at it or not (ie the example I saw hooked them on one behind the killer). That's a lot weaker than I thought, thankfully, and is basically just a hard counter for sabo/boil over and minor timesave otherwise, rather than stopping all saving/DS.

I kinda wonder if they threw it in last minute due to how stupid the sabo changes were. I mean, Vecna shows that people get a kick out of new items, so the stale Medkit meta would be nice to leave behind. Just now with stupid sabo shit we have now.
Also, as they mentioned during the stream last year, the queues are split between the event and normal DBD, so you don't have to endure fun. But the event had +50% BP base, so why not?

I feel like silent mode may be a little busted good for survivors in a bad for fun way. It gives you silent vaults and you don't need to be in chase, so you can start running, hit it, and just vanish with SB or Lithe especially. It's basically on demand Quick and Quiet, Iron Will, Dance With Me, and Lucky Break, which is sort of nuts when you think about it. Even just hitting it in T-L walls majorly fucks killers up and they lose you or start checking lockers.

I just hopped back in to DBD on PC after several years, last played it on PS4 and the occasional free weekend on Steam. I only play survivor no mic so want to focus on a generator build, and just finished first prestige of Gabriel for Scavenger and Troubleshooter. i was also able to get Feng Min discounted in-game with the event using all the free shards I've got from all the codes currently available, so working on prestige for her for Technician. Then I'm not sure, might go with Leon for Rookie Spirit or Quentin for Wake Up! and use either of them for my main survivor with those generator skills

If you don't have Kate, picking her up for Windows of Opportunity is amazing for learning maps and being able to at least run to things to play around.
My standard basic bitch survivor build is half general perks, and all non-paid character ones.
Kindred to make sure you know where the killer's going and where your teammates are when hooked, as well as to make sure you get saved when on hook.
Windows to help in chase, especially on the new maps since they're nonsense.
Sprint Burst because it's my exhaustion perk of choice.
Deja Vu for IDing high priority gens, but it's what I normally swap out for rift challenges or the like.Windows and Sprint Burst are the only two non general perks, on Kate and Meg respectively. We'll Make It is also great for healing. Botany Knowledge from Claudette is good for more general use. Off the Record from Zarina can be good for helping when you're tunneled.
Love all the assholes that come back just for the events. Hard tunnelling Vecna. Demo that just portals ten feet away to circle the hook to tunnel off it. Wraith sitting at hook to tunnel straight off it. Singularity who... you guessed it, walked 15m away to sit in cams for unhook. Black Ward that I instantly noped the fuck away from.
Given that you get 1-3 Cakes per killer bloodweb, I have absolutely no patience for any killer running a ward, mori, or offering right now. Even at the best of times, they're asshole offerings. Right now? Extra double asshole.

XBox players get 3 million BP for their patch being delayed a day.
Meanwhile, I get a slugging Skull Merchant and a hard tunnelling Vecna who I ran for three gens and then my team decided to just sit around and do jack shit before BHVR's shit-ass server decided to DC me, so I got nothing and a matchmaking ban.
Fix your fucking netcode already, you jackasses. It's been broken since February.
E:
Uh, this is a new one. I escaped, and then the server DCed me about 10 seconds later, after the other two people escaped. Okay, whatever. But it disabled the Continue button, and I could only leave the screen by going to the Bloodweb. And here's something extra awesome. If they're spamming the Remote Hook button as they pick you up, flashlight/pallet/DS might not come out at all. Apparently it depends on whoever has the better ping. Worst case scenario, the game bugs out and either puts YOU on the hook, or softlocks one of the survivors. So much for that not being overpowered griefing bullshit.

I played a rare game as killer, and yeah remote hook is dumb. I got flashbang saved and pallet saved like four times, doesn't matter I'm already remote hooking, gg

Aside from event tome stuff, I may be done playing survivor for this event, it's been that consistently horrific an experience. I think only one game out of like 15 so far hasn't been against a miserable asshole running either a griefing build (Knockout SM) or just plain stacking overpowered bullshit and playing like a sweatlord bastard, which is normally not TOO far out of the ordinary, but with the anniversary stuff being so absurdly killer sided, it's extra frustrating. It's not even like the incentive even makes much of a difference considers it stacks with the other stuff.
And considering that I played 3 games, eight hooking people and then letting them go, and was thanked after every single one of them, I'm getting the impression that this is not at all unusual.
I'm still not totally certain what is giving the mega points that stack multiplicatively with everything. I assume that it's the party totems since those are the biggest source of the extra-category BP (which does interact multiplicatively with all the rest), and got ~120k base in a single Dredge match (so about 600k total) just from picking up I think 4 of them, and everything else gives peanuts for BP. Which also means put away all the hex builds and stuff like Inner Strength because it's dull totems only.

Also, I'm seeing at least one Object in almost every killer match against obvious SWFs. The counter-meta to Weave Attunement is already settling in.

Apparently on the Vecna map, you can softlock people just by standing in front of the portals. Instead of pushing the person out of the way or just losing collision, the person exiting the portal can be pushed backwards, and into the wall. Including the killer. Since they severely overestimated the community milestone stuff in the event rift tome and we were only like halfway done with the first of 3 on the first tome alone after 20% through the event, they're slashing all of the requirements for the rest by around 75%. You'd think they'd get it right without needing to down-adjust it for at least ONE event, but nope.

I think it's actually that you need to have that specific challenge selected for it to track, but you stop getting credit after a whopping 2, so people select something else instead.
But this happens every nearly every single event/community challenge like clockwork, and tons of challenges are bugged and don't track correctly anyway, so...

It also doesn't help that this go around, people can opt out of the game mode entirely, so that'll also drive down participation numbers on community challenges.

Bug fix and Vecna tweaks.
New map has hooks added, vaults moved away from portals, and portal interaction speeded up for killer, and slowed down for survivor. But no changes to the topside apparently, so now gone from super killer sided to super double ultra killer sided.
Vecna mage hand slightly nerfed. Both add-ons affecting it reworked or nerfed.
Blight exploit removed, but nothing about the other two bugs speeding him up when breaking pallets with his power.

The notes say interaction time, not speed. So portals are better for killers AND worse for survivors. AND they're moving the portals away from safety. So it's like three layers of get ducked, survivors

Like I said, done playing survivor, though new tome tomorrow, so back to that pain.
Some people are too dumb to survive though. I got THREE grabs in a row as Spirit on RPD. You'd think they'd pay attention after the first, let alone the second, but... yeah. I also learned that the chest Tryx can knock survivors out of your hands, even if it triggers on a chest in the basement while you're above it. Fix your damn distance measurements already, BHVR.

Notably they're gutting Knight's "Drop a guy at a loop and force the survivor to leave" playstyle. making singularity a bit easier to use. A bunch of minor perks getting cooldown reductions which might make them actually viable. Oppression might be real now

Singularity changes are good, though he was never weak. So making him stronger while also easier to play is pretty terrifying.
Not sure on the rest of the changes. I play Knight on rare occasions, and he needed QoL stuff and the brown/yellow add-ons partially basekit, which he got fully, but not the QoL stuff, and the other things don't jive with how I've seen anybody play him. Being unable to assist your guard who's chasing a survivor is a MASSIVE nerf. As is being unable to drop one instantly, which yeah, isn't fun, but his power is otherwise close to useless in chase, and those two things together becomes completely useless. EXCEPT... having the Carnifex up 100% of the time is a massive buff and just restores that completely uninteractive gameplay where they drop a pallet and you use him to just instantly walk straight through it which is happening with the killer Anniversary power, and currently limited on Knight by forcing guard rotation. Or if you can't do that anymore because actions also need a minimum path length, then it's just a universal massive nerf and he has essentially no power in chase, and very limited map control because any smart survivor knows how to outlast a guard.
Likewise, I think I get what they're going for with all the survivor perk changes. Another form of anti-tunnel protection by being able to heal specifically off the hook. I assume they're trying to dissuade proxy camping by letting you be able to heal given even just like a brown medkit and 5 seconds alone time. But you know what kind of playstyle counters that? Camping and tunnelling. Hitting someone right off being unhooked. And the killers who get nailed by this the hardest are the ones who aren't doing that, because the survivors will just jump right on a gen again. And it's still super hard countered by any hemorrhage perk or add-on.
Iron Will getting rebuffed back to its numbers that it was originally nerfed from for being too strong is also classic BHVR.

Autodidact and Empathic changes are fun. Probably still better to just run Circle of Healing, but at least now Autodidact in particular isn't as much of a shit show.
Removing two of Knight's free hit situations (instant drop guard at any filler, start guard chase at any real tile) sounds like good changes to me. Free permanent access to the instant pallet break guard sounds scary, but it's probably fair given the other nerfs. It sounds like they really want to push "guard chases one survivor while you go after another" scenarios; they should probably buff the speed of creating patrol paths even more to enable that.

One thing I saw pointed out is that I'm All Ears and Darkness Revealed are going to be ultra problematic on... say it with me... Nurse and Blight, and it being up like 33% of the time gets rid of most of what little counterplay they have. Dragons Grip and especially Trail of Torment are also going to be pretty miserable in my bracket. Although the Unknown perk that is Trail of Torment but better is probably still better, because it doesn't highlight the gen and also the TR will scare survivors into doing nothing.
