This camper was bought so we could tow our boat and have camping facilities, but we have sold our boat and bought a pull trailer. Truck campers are perfect for towing a boat or an ATV trailer. It has been to Powell once, Ridgeway State Park once and Island Acres once.
Camper has gas/electric fridge, stove cook top, furnace with thermostat, water pump and tank, barely used propane tank, on-demand hot water, outside shower, power roof vent, and porta-potty with potty storage area. Also has TV hook-ups and Stereo radio. Has four manual camper jacks but is wired to add power jacks. Wired for adding solar. No air. I have all of the original owner's manuals for the appliances and the 30Amp power cord and the truck connector.
Owner alterations:
I removed the microwave and built a cabinet because storage is limited in small campers and the microwave is useless in off the grid locations. This added a nice size cabinet. I used matching hardware and an RV type strut support for the door. I changed out the factory netting on the cabinets so that it could be opened in two of the sections and added shelving.
I also added a 6" raised floor which hinges open for additional storage and I added matching storage area under the table. The raised floor puts the counter top and sink at the correct height and makes it easier to sit on the dining cushions. And I added a storage bin along the raised floor for storage of folding chairs or other items.
I tossed the awkward tripod table and added a "Lagun" style dining table which has infinite positions and can be removed if needed.
Full disclosure: One of the outside speakers was wired wrong from the factory and plays with the inside speakers. Wiring is accessible and should be an easy fix of switching the speaker leads. One of the jacks has a small twist from a boat dock. It functions fine and should also be an easy fix if desired. All of this series of Travel Lite campers had some de-lamination of the vinyl skin above and behind the pick-up cab area. This is more of a visual issue than structural, all is water-tight and secure, no leaks. We have kept the camper covered during the off-season months.
Average retail (JD Power) is $14,850. Ours is priced to sell at $12,500 cash. We might consider selling our 2021 Tradesman RAM 2500 4x4 with off-road and towing package with only 5,000 miles, with the camper. The truck has the big Hemi and dealer installed frame camper mounts, Fast Gun tie downs with keyed locks and air bags. I can’t sell the truck separately without selling the camper.
