New Texas Tide Chart Now Online
A big development on the CoastalAnglers.com front: The Texas Tide Chart is now available. Simply click on “Texas Tide Page” under “Pages” on the home page, and you are in business. A total of 28 Texas coastal locations are included, with at least one prominent locale noted for every major port/location from Brownsville south to Port Isabel.
Also noteworthy is the fact that you can obtain specific times for the sun (sunrise and sunset) and moon (moonrise and moonset). Aside from the obvious value of these times to fishermen, sun and
moon specifics are also especially invaluable to hunters who understand the significance of both to game activity … particularly white-tailed deer.
You may choose time frames ranging from “Yesterday, today and tomorrow” to “This Week,” “This Month,” and lastly, a place in which you type in the specific range of dates you want, as in “From (dd/mm/yy).”
This information is critical to trip planning, and in the weeks and months to come, I will include postings on how to use all if it to your advantage.
The ideal trip? For me, at least, it falls within several days either side of the full or new moon phase (preferably the latter) and is a four-tide day (as opposed to two-tide day) that indicates a significant amount of rise or fall between tide times.
I look forward to receiving any requests you might have for information about how to use the Texas Tide Chart to your advantage.
